Resolute requested a detailed technical and operational review of the ongoing processing operations at the Syama Gold Mine as an independent assessment of the perceived slow progress on recovery improvements in the ongoing P95 gold recovery project.
Project Solutions and Approach
MineScope was engaged to carry out an offsite review of critical information prior to a site visit to further investigate identified areas of concern.
The review focused on a detailed assessment of Metallurgy and Process Plant, and a high-level review of Infrastructure and Shred Services. At the completion of the site visit, the preliminary conclusions and recommendations were presented to the site management team.
Outcomes and Achievements
A comprehensive review report was prepared for the corporate technical team outlining key site observations, improvement opportunities and 115 recommended actions. Further, as offered with all MineScope operational reviews, a workshop was held with the corporate and operations team to discuss prioritisation, scheduling and resourcing of the improvement opportunities to ensure alignment between MineScope and the site team culminating in the development of a Corrective Action Planner.
