Client Requirements
Endeavour is delivering a new refractory gold project at the Sabodala – Massawa Gold Complex in eastern Senegal utilizing BIOX® processing technology. The project includes the new processing facility, doubling of the onsite power station capacity, multiple tailings storage facilities and miscellaneous infrastructure.
Project Solutions and Approach
MineScope was engaged to provide project management and technical support to Endeavour’s Owners team. Based on the scope defined in the Definitive Feasibility Study (managed by MineScope on behalf of Endeavour Mining), MineScope worked with existing Endeavour project personnel to assemble a high performing Owner’s Team to develop and deliver the project. This included utilizing varying commercial and contractual approaches to different elements of the project, close management of the contracted engineers, service providers and vendors as well as self-perform and self-manage a significant number of horizontal packages within the project.
Outcomes and Achievements
Due for completion in Q1 2024, the project is currently tracking according to schedule and budget with the majority of funds committed, equipment purchased and all contractors onsite.
