Lithium du Mali SA (LMSA) was assessing the Operational Readiness requirements across Supply Chain, Asset Management and Processing Operations for its new Goulamina Lithium Mine in Mali while its team also focused on establishing a DSO mining operation onsite and managing the delivery of the remaining process plant and infrastructure.
Project Solutions and Approach
LMSA requested assistance and capacity support from MineScope in the planning, development, and implementation of Operational Readiness at Goulamina. MineScope proposed a staged approach allowing LMSA to vary the extent of MineScope’s support based on the internal capacity of its Operations team. MineScope assembled a team of in-house and associate experts to work with the LMSA team to understand the current project status post-DFS and the broader Operational Readiness approach desired by the Project Owners.
Outcomes and Achievements
The MineScope team’s extensive experience across both Operational Readiness and West Africa was used to develop a detailed strategy, schedule, and priority actions list culminating in an extensive Operational readiness Plan (Phase 1). This work is ongoing and MineScope provides both subject matter experts and capacity to the LMSA team as it completes, in parallel, the project engineering and construction activities, Operational Readiness development and implementation and the DSO mining operations.
