Allied Gold Corp, owner of the Sadiola, Bonikro and Agbaou Gold mines in West Africa, wanted to assess the level of compliance of each mine site with the International Cyanide Management Code (ICMC).
Project Solutions and Approach
Allied engaged MineScope to prepare a Cyanide Position Paper identifying compliance gaps and to develop order-of-magnitude capital and operating costs required to achieve compliance.
Outcomes and Achievements
MineScope prepared a desktop compliance assessment based on independent ICMC compliance audits, its extensive operational knowledge of the three mine sites, and its cost estimate database. This has allowed Allied to make informed decisions around acceptable levels of compliance with the ICMC and the relative costs for each.
