Michael Davis

Head of Consulting

Michael has 35 years of experience in the design and operation of mineral processing projects and has a strong understanding of the full project life cycle from discovery, development, design, commissioning, and operations, through to closure. He has worked for both Mining and Engineering Service companies and has a very good understanding of the key drivers for both the Owners and Engineers in Project Development, with ultimate accountability to the end user.

Michael has extensive global mining experience across multiple commodities (Au, Cu, Ni/Co, Pb/Zn, Fe, U) having worked on more than 120 studies, projects and operations spanning more than 45 countries across Africa, Central and South East Asia and North and South America , Europe and the Pacific region through his work with international EPCM and Mining companies.

Michael is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy and has extensive experience in the preparation of NI 43-101 reports as a “Qualified Person” for disclosure of scientific or technical information to the TSX and associated North American exchanges.  Michael also has significant experience acting as an Independent Expert Witness on a number of mediation and court cases.

Michael & Royce founded MineScope together in 2017.
