Leigh Wardell-Johnson

Senior Study Manager

Leigh is resources professional with over 30 years’ experience in the mining industry. He has held senior metallurgical, study, project, technical, commercial, and management roles. His focus has been on bringing successful outcomes for the companies he has worked for which include leading Australasian mining, engineering and supply companies as well as operational minesites, such as: Boddington, Karara, Fortescue, Atlas Iron, APIM, Tungsten Mining, and Liontown.  He has experience across a diverse range of commodities including lithium, tungsten, iron ore, and gold. 

Leigh holds post-graduate qualifications in business & administration from LaTrobe University and a B.Sc in Extractive Metallurgy from Murdoch University.

Prior to starting his career in mining, Leigh was a player and sports administrator, at the Fremantle Football Club.

Leigh joined MineScope in 2024.
