Dean Young

Dean is a process engineer with over 20 years’ experience within the mineral processing industry, including study management, all stages of
project management from design and construction through to commissioning, and operations. He has worked on multiple projects
within Australia, and has also excuted projects in Dominican Republic, Papua New Guinea, Spain, and Guatemala.

Dean has broad experience of studies at all levels from Scoping/Desktop through pre-feasibility to definitive/bankable; as well as deep knowledge of testwork management, detailed design; construction; commissioning; training; optimisation; and operations.  Additionally, he has training experience and has established a new engineering division.

Dean joined MineScope in 2025.
